Thomas Stevens was Principal Trumpet of the LA Philharmonic and was extremely active in the performance and recording of Twentieth Century Music for trumpet. He was heard in many premier performances and recordings of new works, many of which were written for him or by him. In 1986, Pierre Boulez invited him to work with the brass section of the Ensemble Intercontemporain in Paris. Mr. Stevens has been active as an educator and many of his ex-students occupy chairs in major symphony orchestras throughout the world.
