Eldon Rathburn studied composition with Healy Willan at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto. He wrote many scores for IMAX films and researched the subject "Music and Railroads." His film scores include City of Gold, The Railrodder, Labyrinthe, The First Emperor and Momentum.

Besides composing the pieces on this CD, Rathburn performs on the calliope and Jew's harp and is assisted by many artists as well as the Atlantic Brass Quintet.
