Commonly thought to be the world's leading euphonium virtuoso, Brian Bowman presented the first euphonium solo recital in Carnegie Recital Hall in NY City in 1976. The repertoire of that program is presented on this CD.

Accompanying Bowman are Marjorie Lee, piano; Steven Harlos, piano; and Gordon Stout, marimba.

Bowman has been principal euphonium with the U.S. Air Force Band in Washington, D.C., and is now euphonium professor at North Texas University. He is acknowledged by many to be the best euphonium player in the world
