Madame Kazue Kudo is the founder of the Kazue Kudo Koto Music Conservatory and The Koto String Society. She has, in addition, the distinction of being the Director in Los Angeles of the famed Michio Miyagi School of Koto headquartered in Tokyo, from which she holds her doctorate degree. Kudo has performed with many major orchestras including the Los Angeles Philharmonic under the direction of Zubin Mehta.

Kazue Frances Asawa, winner of many competitions, including the Young Musicians Foundation Performance Opportunities Award, has appeared as soloist with several orchestras and in solo recitals both in the US and in Japan. She received her Master of Music degree in flute performance from the University of Southern California where she was a student of Roger Stevens, graduating with top musical honors.
