For anyone whose experience with the accordion happens to be bad polka bands, the artistry of Robert Davine comes as a revelation. He is a true, albeit unassuming, virtuoso. Currently Professor of Accordion and Theory for the Lamont School of Music at the University of Denver, Davine received most of his professional training in Chicago.

"In the right hands, the accordion can be a highly artistic and expressive instrument. Robert Davine has one of those right hands (a good left one too) and a musical head as well." Stereo Review

A tireless researcher and promoter of the accordion, Davine has performed as soloist with the Pittsburgh Symphony, the Denver Symphony, the Denver Chamber Orchestra, the Mantovani Orchestra, the Flagstaff Festival Orchestra and many others. In 1984, Davine was invited by the Ministry of Culture, People's Republic of China, to perform and give master classes. Currently, he is researching a book on the accordion and its literature.
