Roger Bobo is widely considered to be one of the greatest tubists n the world. He was born in Los Angeles in 1938 and graduated from the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, New York, with a Bachelor's and Master's of Music. Bobo played the first tuba recital in New York's Carnegie hall in 1962 to high critical acclaim.
Bobo took a sabbatical from the Los Angeles Philharmonic to live in Florence, Italy. Having established himself as one of Europe's most prominent brass soloists, Bobo resigned from the orchestra and now lives in Florence, where he is in constant demand as a soloist and presenter of masterclasses for all brass instruments.
